December at the Manistique Farmers’ Market

We held three fall/winter farmers’ markets in Manistique in 2011: one each in October, November and December. Here are some photos from the December market. We will be busy working and planning for the 2012 market season over the next few months – stay tuned and come join us on opening day May 23, 2012 from 5-6pm at the Little Bear West Arena.

December 14th – Next Market!

The Manistique Farmers’ Market will hold our final market of 2011 on Wednesday, December 14th from 4-5:30pm at the Community Building next to Michigan Works. This will be our last market until June 2012, so stop by and stock up on wonderful local foods!

Expected at this market:

Rick Nims – fresh ground flours; eggs; acorn and buttercup squash; cranberry jam; pumpkin butter; potatoes.
Donna Foote – variety of breads, including herb breads and her famous Elvis Bread (peanut butter and banana); cake pops; candies; jams; granola.
Ed & Jan Wright – honey, beeswax products (lip balms, lotions, etc); and beautiful beeswax Christmas ornaments!
